Valora is extending its service offer and, in cooperation with the Swiss start-up Battere, is launching the first lending-out product at all k kiosk, avec. and Press & Books points of sale. With immediate effect, Valora customers can lend out solar-charged batteries, charge their mobile phone when on the road and then return it again to every and any point of sale. Michael Müller, CEO of the Valora Group explains: “Smartphones are playing an increasingly more important role in our customers' life. With Battere, we offer them an innovative and comfortable solution for the problem of an empty battery.”

“One year ago, we first started our service – batteries for lending out – at 25 k kiosk locations, together with Valora,” says Andreas Braendle, CEO of Battere. The echo has been very positive. “Meanwhile, we have constantly improved the service and developed a chat bot and apps. Now we are incredibly proud of the fact that, starting today, our batteries can be lent out and returned at more than 1,000 Battere points throughout Switzerland,” Braendle continues.
With almost complete coverage throughout Switzerland, Battere becomes much more attractive for all users. Because people do not have to return the lime green battery at the same location, especially weekend sightseers or commuters are happy about the close-knit network.

Lending out a battery costs 4 francs. Still to be added to this is a deposit of 15 francs. Battere, as the green battery is known, can be kept for one week. Be it iPhone or android mobile phone – together with the Battere battery, the customer also receives the matching smartphone cable.
