Frittenwerk founders Keydi and Mateo Skendo have decided to leave the company and the Valora Group at the end of May 2025. As of June 1, 2025, a seasoned internal team will take over the management: Martin Hunger (CFO) and Torsten Deska (COO), who will join Martin Hunger as co-managing director. With a clear corporate strategy, the new leadership duo will continue on Frittenwerk’s established path.
Since its founding in 2014, Frittenwerk has stood for creative reinterpretations of classic street food dishes—drawing inspiration from street food trends around the world. Since joining the Valora Group in 2022, Frittenwerk has further strengthened its position as a leading fast-casual concept in Germany. During this time, the number of locations grew from 27 to 44, and the workforce expanded from around 540 to over 700 employees.
«With their innovative fast-casual concept, Keydi and Mateo Skendo have played a key role in shaping the 'Better Fries' segment in Germany," says Michael Mueller, CEO of the Valora Group. "We sincerely thank them for their achievements over the past ten-plus years and wish them all the best for their professional and personal futures. At the same time, we look forward to working with Martin Hunger and Torsten Deska. I am confident that we will continue to build on Frittenwerk’s success story together.»
