Valora's Board of Directors has promoted Thomas Eisele, a Swiss citizen born in 1974, to join its Group Executive Management with effect from April 1, 2014. Thomas Eisele has been Managing Director of Ditsch/Brezelkönig since October 1, 2012. He has worked for the Valora Group for a number of years, previously as Head of Corporate Business Development (from 2008 to 2012). In addition to his solid M&A and management experience, Thomas Eisele also has significant retail expertise.
Having served on the Valora Board for six years, Conrad Loeffel has decided not to stand for reelection at the next Ordinary General Meeting. Rolando Benedick, Chairman of Valora's Board of Directors, acknowledged his decision by saying, "On behalf of the entire Board, I would like to thank Conrad Loeffel for his valuable service to Valora over all these years. He has been much appreciated by his Board colleagues, both as a member of the Board and as Chairman of the Audit Committee.“
At the forthcoming Ordinary General Meeting of shareholders, the Board will recommend that Cornelia Ritz Bossicard be elected to join its ranks as Conrad Loeffel's successor.
Cornelia Ritz Bossicard is a former Audit Director with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where she worked for a total of 18 years in Zurich, San José (USA) and Lausanne. She has specialised experience in the fields of retail, consumer goods, technology, industrial products and pharmaceuticals. Cornelia Ritz Bossicard studied Business Administration at the HEC in Lausanne and the Freie Universität in Berlin, completing her studies with a Master of Science degree in Economics. She qualified as an auditor at the Swiss Institute of Certified Accountants and Tax Consultants and as a Certified Public Accountant at the California Board of Accountancy in the United States. Cornelia Ritz Bossicard was born in 1972 and is a Swiss citizen.
Commenting on her proposed election, Rolando Benedick said, "I am delighted that in recommending that the General Meeting elect Cornelia Ritz Bossicard to join the Board, we are putting forward a very well qualified candidate whose skills and experience will complement those of the existing Board members in a number of important respects.“
