Handmade, regional and fresh – the essence of the avec concept. Valora is thus adopting the latest foodvenience trends. From Wednesday, 8 April 2020, Valora's convenience format offering goes online at www.avecnow.ch with immediate home delivery for customers.
The avec stores in Giswil (OW) and Küsnacht (ZH) will deliver to local customers, including those in the surrounding municipalities, as part of a pilot. A roll-out to other regions is currently being planned.
There are more than 1,000 articles to choose from, such as baked goods, drinks, milk, meat and household products. The ordered goods are packaged in the avec stores in Giswil and Küsnacht and delivered three and two times a day respectively, from Monday to Sunday, so the customer always receives the order within a day. Delivery is free of charge from an order value of CHF 100.
Expansion of digital shopping
The avec now online store is the latest expansion of the avec brand launched in the summer of 2018 and a continuation of Valora's digital strategy in the convenience area. One year ago, Valora launched two cashier-free sales formats at Zurich main station: avec box and the future store avec X, where access, purchase and payment are controlled by an app. The avec box is currently open at the ETH Zurich Hönggerberg campus and Wetzikon station.
